Speed it up
I know that this is in beta, and I know that it's hard to make webapps work perfectly in terms of swiping and tapping and whatnot, but I find the lagginess of the mobile version to be a bit too present. If you're going for an "iOS app" feel, I'd recommend either making the interface a bit faster or actually making a downloadable app from the App Store.

Both of these features are coming. We will start with grade listing soon, and will enable grade entry in a future release.

Maintain iPad Functionality and Features
Zooming into & out of text/images, selecting text, definitions of words, swiping through pages, ect. Have a more Flipboard, Push Pop Press feel

Layout in portrait is squished
We find that the layout in portrait feels very squished because there is the main column on the left. Can that disappear? When the iPad is in landscape the page is easier to navigate.
The color and bright formatting of the pages is also lost on the mobile site. My students report it looking dull and boring.10 votes -
Pages/Subpages
Pages should be accessed through swiping through a view which shows all pages in a kind of snapshot view. Subpages get lost when they are only accessible by clicking on the arrows.

Update pages and assignments
As a teacher, the mobile version loses functionality if I can only use it to view classes.

Navagation Bar Changes
The left column with the navigation tabs would disappear and only be accessed when swiped. This would increase the size of the page layout.

Month and week views on Calendar page?
Will month or week views be available for Calendar? It's nice to see at a glance.

Clicking back gets lost
If I go to a google doc without opening in a new page, and then hit back, it brings me back to the class I was in, but at the top of the class instead of the subpage where the google doc link was. That's not ideal.

Discussion boards
It would be nice if you could see the discussion question as well as other posts while you are writing your own post or reply. Also I'd like to see a curser when I am typing. I would also like to be able to paste things in the Discussion board that I copy from pages or another source.

Logging in directs to desktop version
When I attempt to access the mobile version of Haiku while logged out, it redirects me to the login page (of course), but it's for the desktop version. Once I enter my info, it takes me to the desktop version of the site. This wouldn't be a big deal, but I have Haiku saved to my home screen--in this method, the URL bar doesn't show, making it impossible for me to access Haiku through that saved icon at all.

A few graphic improvements
Three minor graphic things which could be improved:
- The background is clearly tiled. I'd recommend tiling a larger square.
- The logout button is a gear. NO. The gear is strictly reserved for settings. Find another icon.
- There's a kind of weird 1px border around the screen... is this intentional? It's sort of strange.3 votes -
