add the ability to print grade summaries for each student
It's nice the teacher can print the class grades for each test or term, but wouldn't it be nice to have a print out for each student? It's like an automatic progress report for each kid! There should be room for teacher's to write a comment into each student report.

add Student-created Webpages
Each student in a class gets a section of webpages to manage in the same manner that teachers manage their sites. These sections are linked to from the classroom website. Teachers will have the option to approve these pages before they are published or let the students publish their own pages.
Status: startedWikiProjects have been released as of the beginning of August, and the ability to publish them publicly (showcase) is coming soon!

add an All-School Calendar that feeds class calendars
For users inside a school domain, it would be helpful to have a centralized 'all-school' calendar which could provide events to all teachers inside a particular school/organization.

print class grade charts
At the end of term, I have to submit paperwork with all my grades on them. We should be able to print a chart of the whole class with all the assignments and grades for the whole or by grading period.

Post events to multiple classes at once
Roster Sections are great, but it would still be helpful to post to multiple classes at once when adding an assignment, announcement, or calendar entry.

Add the ability to correct in the dropbox using an ePen or the stylus on a tablet PC.
Does anyone out there use tablet PC's? We are a one to one tablet school and sure would like to be able to use the stylus for input, especially in assessment/dropbox.

Add ability to see all work in the class for a student
When clicking on a student in the roster, it would be nice to see a summary of all work they have completed for that particular class and be able to access that work for viewing or download.
Status: under reviewThis could also include the ability for students to check off assignments they have completed (whether in the dropbox or not)

add a way to accept payment for classes
I would like to be able to offer courses that require payment up front via credit card. Upon payment, I would like the user to be automatically added to my class roster.
Status: under reviewWe acknowledge that a solution for automatic payment and registration is needed. We are currently examining whether this is best offered through a partner, or if we should offer this as a built in segment of Haiku LMS. Besides voting please contact bryanf@haikulearning.com with a list of your organization's specific requirements. Thanks!

add Student Profiles (Show and Share)
Students can set up informational pages about themselves including photos, files, video and audio. They can flag some files to be part of their show and share, one or more resources that are featured with their identity on the website. Possible additional features would allow for the inclusion ... more

add the ability to post header and footer images.
I would like the ability to upload my own images to the header and footer of the class. This would be an easy way for me to customize the look of my webclass.

allow for drag-and-drop arrangement of assignments
The current arrangement of assignments within my assignment block appears to be random. They are not sorted by creation date or due date. I would like to be able to drag & drop them into a particular order.

Make a seperate section where we to connect with everyone.
A section where we connect with anyone on haiku. This section could have chatrooms about different subjects, educational games, open forums/discussions, student profiles(that could be added by other students and could be customized but only to level that wont change the educational environment), ... more
Status: plannedWe are planning to implement features that will work much like the student profiles you mention as a part of student and group webpages. I'll keep this idea open, too even after we complete the first section, as you mention open forums/discussions and other great ideas.

Add Notes for ePortfolios
Please add a way for users to leave notes associated with pages in the ePortfolio. It would be nice to have these notes be viewable either by a) the teachers only, b) teachers and the ePortfolio owner or c) all participants in a class.
Status: startedComing very soon! This update will be released in Version 5 of Haiku later this month.

WikiProjects Templates
The newly created WikiProjects looks like a very useful tool for our school. It would even more useful if the teacher could create templates for WikiProjects. Each student would select the template and then fill in the required information.
For us the end goal is to use WIkiProjects for journall... more
Status: under reviewAgreed. We recognize the need and plan to roll out the ability for teachers to define a template (page and block structure) for students as a seed for a WikiProject.

Add iCal / Google Calendar support to class calendars.
Many of us have set up Google class calendars and calendars to track test dates among teachers for a grade level. It would be great if we could plug those in.
Status: plannedIts and excellent idea. The good news is that iCal and Google Calendar integration is scheduled for development over the 2010-2011 school year.

Dropbox and Discussion sortable by student
it would be extremely helpful to have a way to be able to sort the dropbox and discussion tabs by student rather than just by assignment. This would give a quick way to see which assignments/discussions that a student has not yet turned in.
