Add art and video galleries to showcase student work to the school community
A digital media content management system that enables teachers to easily set up customizable galleries would be a great way to build community around student creativity.

We use voice thread for this sort of thing. Just link to the voice thread gallery in your Haiku page. This does limit access to invited students, but that can be a good thing.

I would want this not to just have this functionality on the teacher side, but on the student side. So, for example, students have a painting assignment one week and all upload their work to one area for that assigment. Then, below each image (larger than a thumb), other students and the teacher could comment. This would also be great functionality to have in social areas where students could share their visual work.
